Summary: He tilted his head back and gazed up at the night sky.
The bonfire crackled and popped, casting a glow over the beach. At a safe distance from the flames, Mike and Peter were improvising a duet for acoustic guitar and harmonica, providing accompaniment as Davy waltzed his latest girl of the month around the fire.
Not far off, Micky sat leaning against a rock, contentedly sipping a bottle of root beer. He tilted his head back and gazed up at the night sky. The brightness of the bonfire made it hard to see the stars, but he could just make out a constellation or two, if he tried.
He smiled to himself. Man, this is the life, he thought.
