He's mostly famous for his ESC song, I've heard it during the final show and then I had to look up his other songs as well.

I like a wide range of different genres so I can't really say I'm a "xy person" or "yx person". For the most time my playlists are a mix of various Metal and Rock bands, with a lot of Pop music (especially Russian pop music) and a good portion of electronic music.
There are still songs of other genres I like, be it from the way it sounds or the lyrics. I'm also fond of a lot of Classical music, especially Piano and Violin.
But as you say: for some genres you need to be in the mood, otherwise they don't appeal to you. That's what I have with languages as well. There are some languages I can only listen to when I'm in the mood for them (like native language) but usually then I don't listen to anything else
