Challenge 85: Song Titles: The Eagles

Apologies for the extreme lateness, I completely forgot to post, so here's the new challenge and the next one should go up mid-May as usual, unless people would prefer challenges at the start of the month...

This month's challenge is:

Click on the challenge, pick any song title, or more than one, as inspiration, and start writing!

Reminder of Rules

Entries can be any length you like. You can post as many entries to each challenge as you're inspired to write.
If posting direct to the community, please place the body of your entry behind a cut.
Tag with the appropriate Category, Challenge, Fandom, Type, and Ratings tags. If a tag for your fandom doesn't exist, leave a request on the Tag Request post and I'll create the tags you need. You can request as many fandom tags as you want.
You don't need to use the challenge word or phrase in your fic, though you can if you like. Please include the song or episode title you use in your header.
Suggestions for future challenges are welcome on the Questions & Suggestions post.
There is no deadline for entries.

Have fun!

I prefer having a mid-month challenge since most of my others are beginning of the month.

I'll stick with mid-month then. It just means this one will run for 6 weeks... Which is basically what the last one did, and no one noticed until the start of the month.

I did notice, but as I had plenty to do already...

Maybe you could run an amnesty month from mid-month, sort of the best of both worlds?

I've had that suggested elsewhere, but the challenges here don't close, so anyone can write for any challenge any time they want. That makes an amnesty a bit redundant...

That's true - although it might be worth reminding people (like me) about that, since some of us have memories which retain lots of useless facts (like the technical term for being swallowed up by a black hole in space is 'spaghettification') but fail to remember the useful ones!

My brain is like that too. I can keep track of the plots of several novels at once, but I'll go downstairs without the thing I wanted to take downstairs, which was the only reason I was even going downstairs in the first place. Stairs are good exercise, right?

I'll see about reminding members. If I remember to...

I did. I just didn't want to embarrass you by asking; life sometimes throws us all a curveball. Didn't want to bother you, if something was going on that was particularly pressing. We all survived, lol; everything's groovy.

I had it noted in my diary, just somehow failed to notice. Too focused on the garden I guess. It's no embarrassment to have someone give me a nudge and ask if I've forgotten. I'm juggling my own journals and writing commitments, three communities that I run, and two others I co-mod for, and sometimes something will slip through the cracks.

Next prompt will go up in mid May. Assuming I don't forget again.
